I’m currently a Senior Site Reliability Engineer / Platform Engineer.

Before that, I’ve been a Linux / Unix System Administrator, DevOps Engineer, a Senior Backup and Recovery Admin, and even a Help Desk Analyst.

Short articles and crib notes, “written for people with the attention span of a cat.”

I write to clarify my thinking and turn experience into understanding.

Writing forces me to slow down and examine what I actually understand.  If I can explain something clearly, it’s usually a good sign that I understand it.

The perspective here comes from years in Enterprise IT operations, where understanding the why behind a decision often matters more than the mechanics of how to implement it.

I’m always learning, so please feel free to comment with constructive insight or corrections.  Different perspectives are always helpful.
